Edan Morton, England Junior Cycling Speedway Captain added to supported athletes

We are really pleased to announce that Sweet Peaks will now be supporting Ed Morton in his rise in Cycling Speedway.

This year will be his last year in the Junior set up and he has had some great success already in his Junior career. We will also be helping to support him in his step up to the senior ranks in the coming years too. Here is just a little bit about him so far:

Ed is a 17 year old GB, England and Sheffield cycle speedway rider, who in November 2017 went to Australia with the GB Junior Team. While in Australia he captained the England team that won the Junior World Cup and rode in the GB teams that won the Junior Ashes and the Junior Federation cup. He capped his time off in Australia by finishing in 4th in the individual Junior World Championships.

The 2017 season saw him come 6th in the British Championships, 2nd overall in the HSBC Junior Elite GP, made the podium in almost every individual competition he rode in, rode in the Sheffield team that won the Junior British Club Championships and rode in the England team that won the Junior Home Internationals. He also regularly rode and scored well for Sheffield in the Northern League, and the Junior and Senior North and Scotland squads in the Battle of Britain.

This year, his final year as a Junior, his individual aims are becoming British and European junior champion and the continued team aims of representing GB and England, and regularly riding for Sheffield and the North and Scotland team.

We are looking forward to seeing Ed progress and hopefully reach his aims this year before starting to forge (like a true Steel City hero) his way in the Senior ranks. As with all our athletes we are proud to support him.
