Sorry all it would appear this did not get posted last week!
This weekend has seen a few more people return to action as the weather stayed away a little. So here is a quick run down of how our supported athletes have got on.
After the launch on Thursday of the 2018 team they were back on the road at the Coalville Road Race. Its a race Joe has won twice and the team entered with high hopes. However, Joe came down in a crash and had to abandon (he is ok which is good) but Charlie Renshaw made the break but was the only member of the team in it. He did a great job keeping with attacks from teams with more than one rider and finished a very respectable 8th. With a bit more racing in the legs and better weather the results should start to come.
One of our new Cyclists for this year Red won the Preston Park Cat 2/3 race as part of the Sussex Cycle Racing League this weekend. A massive well done to him on his first Sweet Peaks fueled win!
Red has posted another great video on you tube with some footage of the race and his win! You tube
A great 5k win and course record (20:44) at the Hole Park Trail Run. Making sure he has been getting out in all weathers is definitely doing the trick and hopefully this is also showing that his training in preparation for the season ahead and his aim of a podium at the World Aquathlon champs is paying off.
Another win for a Sweet Peaks fueled athlete this weekend as Adam won the 20 mile Granite Race run with a PB of 1hr 54:53.. what a fantastic run.
The Cross Country season is over and the track season has not yet started but the younger generation of athletes were Park Running this weekend and there were loads of Team Records broken at different age groups
